ZooZnu ("we" / "the Company") is committed to user privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. What We Collect

Information You Provide

• Phone number — for identity verification only
• Name and username — displayed to friends and ZooZ participants
• Profile photo — optional, stored on Firebase Storage
• Bio and interests — optional, for better matching
• Email address — optional, for support only

Automatically Generated Information

• Location — when opening/joining a ZooZ (not continuous tracking)
• ZooZs created or joined — to enrich your profile
• Chat messages — encrypted and stored on Firestore
• Push notification token — for sending notifications

2. Why We Collect It

• Operating the ZooZnu service — creating and joining ZooZs
• Coordinating between participants and sending alerts
• Protecting user safety (especially minors)
• Improving and developing the service
• Compliance with legal requirements

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell and do not transfer your data to third parties, except:

• Firebase/Google — platform infrastructure (Auth, Firestore, Storage)
• Expo Push — notification management service
• Law enforcement — as required by law, in safety emergencies

4. Data Security

• All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure storage on Google Firebase protected servers
• Access to data only by authorized personnel for operations and support
• Phone numbers not displayed to other users

5. User Rights

Under Israeli Privacy Protection Law and GDPR (for EU citizens), you have the right to:

• Access — receive a copy of data collected about you
• Rectification — correct incorrect information
• Erasure — request deletion of all your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Objection — object to certain processing of your data
• Portability — receive your data in a clean format

6. Children's Policy

• Minimum age to join: 10 years
• Children under 13 require parental/guardian consent
• Data of minors is not transferred to any third party
• Parents may request deletion of their child's account
• Full separation between minors and adults in ZooZ visibility

7. Data Retention

• Account information — retained while account is active
• Chat messages — 12 months from the ZooZ date
• Deleted data — removed within 30 days
• Backups — up to 90 days

8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use cookies. The website may use basic cookies for Google Analytics (anonymous).

9. Policy Changes

Material changes will be published in the app and/or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes agreement.
